Early Years Professional Status
Early Years Professionals are highly qualified childcare practitioners who lead practice within a childcare setting.
Practitioners with Early Years Professional Status are graduates who have had their qualifications and experience accredited against a defined framework.
There are a number of different training pathways open to practitioners to enable them to achieve Early Years Professional Status.

Funding
To support the aim of all private and voluntary sector full daycare settings to have a graduate leader by 2015, with two in settings for children in the 30% most disadvantaged areas, there is funding support available in the form of Graduate Lead EYP Pathway Funding.
The application deadline for Graduate Lead EYP pathway funding for a September 2010 start is June 10th 2010.
