Early Years Professional Status
Early Years Professionals are highly qualified childcare practitioners who lead practice within a childcare setting.
Practitioners with Early Years Professional Status are graduates who have had their qualifications and experience accredited against a defined framework.
There are a number of different training pathways open to practitioners to enable them to achieve Early Years Professional Status.
For advice about how to become an Early Years Professional see the Children's Workforce Development Council website (www.cwdcouncil.org.uk)

Graduate Leader Fund Update March 2011
The funding that was available for some PVI full daycare settings for graduate leader incentive payments (e.g. salary enhancements) has now ceased.
The Graduate Leader Fund was a 3 year grant that ran from April 2008 until March 2011. In light of the cuts in public spending we are unable to say at this stage if we are able to offer any similar funding support in the future.
