Two Year Old Funding

The budget for 2012-2013 has now been advised. Therefore with effect from 1 April 2012 the criteria has been reviewed to meet additional applications.

Applications can only be accepted no further than six months in advance due to the possibility of family circumstances changing and volume of applications.

Once funding has been agreed, unless the family is already registered with a Children’s Centre, the referrer will need to complete and return to the relevant Children’s Centre the request for service form downloadable below:

Two Year Old Funding – Two Year Old Progress Check

As part of the funding entitlement regular reviews should take place. The Childcare Provider and Childrens Centre will each undertake a review with the parents. This process should take place after 10 weeks, 20 weeks, and an exit review should also take place when the child is due to move to the 3 and 4 year nursery funding. Two Year Old Funding - Inclusion Funding

Providers can apply for funding to help pay for a 1:1 support worker for a two year old funded child with special needs or a disability. Please note that with the planned increase in two year old funded places, this additional 1:1 funding is currently being reviewed. As the budget in this financial year is limited, providers should check eligibility and availability of funding before making an application.

Two Year Old Funding - Travel Expenses

Providers who incur costs for assisting with travel arrangements with prior agreements should complete the claim form and return on a monthly basis. Please note that the total amount due will be calculated at the current mileage rate.
