The Empty Homes Officer is available to give advice and assistance on options for bringing empty properties back into use.
What options are available?
Options include:
- Owners re-occupying the property themselves.
- Letting and managing the property themselves to private tenants after advice and assistance on being a landlord and how to conduct an Assured Shorthold Tenancy.
- Managing the property themselves through the Council’s homes4u scheme.
- Letting the property by means of a Letting and Management Agent.
- Selling the property to an agent or developer.
- Receiving financial assistance to bring the property back into a condition so that it can be re-occupied.
